Menu

Menu can be accessed by tapping on the menu button, located on the top right corner.

Language selection

Brawl Maker is available in many languages. It can be changed by using the language dropdown:

  • English
  • Spanish
  • German
  • French
  • Portuguese
  • Italian
  • Korean
  • Romanian
  • Polish
  • Turkish
  • Russian

If you spot any translation mistake, please report it here

Map name

Current map name can be modified here.
Allowed symbols:

  • lowercase characters ( e.g. abcdefgh )
  • uppercase characters ( e.g. ABCDEFGH )
  • numbers ( e.g. 123456 )
  • whitespace character

Any other symbol will be automatically removed if input.

Author

Author name can be modified here.
Allowed symbols:

  • lowercase characters ( e.g. abcdefgh )
  • uppercase characters ( e.g. ABCDEFGH )
  • numbers ( e.g. 123456 )
  • whitespace character

Any other symbol will be automatically removed if input.

Author name is stored globally. This means it will be pre-filled when creating a new map.

Save

Pressing this button saves the current map. These items are saved:

  • Map name
  • Author
  • Theme
  • Event
  • Map size
  • Placed elements on the map

Load

Pressing this button opens a sub-menu containing all the previsouly saved maps. It also contains an autosave of the current map on its last state.

Selecting any map will load it. These items are loaded:

  • Map name
  • Author
  • Theme
  • Event
  • Map size
  • Placed elements on the map

Delete a saved map

Saved maps can be deleted via the load feature.
First click on the load button located on the menu.

Then click on the red cross button located on the top right corner of the map to be deleted.

A pop-up will ask for confirmation. Clicking Yes will delete the map, clicking No will cancel the action and go back to the load menu.

New

Pressing this button will create a new map. These items are set to default values:

  • Map name
  • Author (pre-filled with the previous author name)
  • Theme
  • Event
  • Map size
  • Placed elements on the map

Auto-save feature

Brawl Maker has an auto-save feature that allows recovery from crashes or unwanted app termination. Any unsaved changes on the currently edited map are saved and can be accessed via the load menu.

Select the autosave map to load back the lost changes.

Unsaved changes feature

When pressing the new button or loading an saved map, the unsaved changes pop-up can be shown.

If this is displayed, there are unsaved changed on the map currently being edited.
Selecting Yes will discard those changes.
Selecting No will cancel and allow the user to manually save changes.

Export to CSV

Pressing this button will generate a plain text file containing the current map in its code format.
This file can be sent to any app supporting the Android Share function (Discord, any Messaging app, file browsing apps…)

Share

Pressing this button will generate an image containing the following elements:

  • visual of the map with its elements
  • map name
  • event
  • theme
  • author
  • Brawl Maker logo

This image can be sent to any app supporting the Android Share function (Discord, any Messaging app, file browsing apps…)

Reset

This feature allow to erase all elements already placed on the current map.

Pressing this button will display a confirmation pop-up.

Selecting Yes will remove all elements placed on the current map.
Selecting No will cancel the action.

Play

Pressing this button will allow you to test your map using Brawl Maker Tester. For further details see how to play your map.

Alert info

Several messages can be displayed on Alert info, depending on the configuration of Brawl Maker and the validity of the current map:

  • Unsupported event
  • Missing event mandatory elements
  • No message
